MOU signing is done at the office of Commission On Filipino Overseas located at Citygold Center, 1345 Quirino Ave, Paco, Manila with the presence of CFO Chairman Justice Secretary Francisco “Nick” Acosta, CFO Under-Secretary Astravel Pimentel-Naik, CFO Executive Secretary Head Atty. Xerxes Cortel, together with the members of OBRA Incorporated, Edwin Maestro - Festival Consultant, Tina Pacres - International Partnership Coordinator and award-winning actor-director Nash Ang, the Festival Director of PIFF.
Pinoy International Film Festival is the first touring film festival dedicated to overseas Filipinos. PIFF is much more than featuring Filipino movies. This aims to reach out and educate people on the issues of Migration.
1st Korea Pinoy International Film Festival was successfully held in Seoul, South Korea on September 27-29, 2019 with the theme of "Migration". On its 2nd iteration, the festival is expected to provide more opportunities for overseas Filipinos and overseas Filipino workers together with government officials to engage in public discussion. Further immigration-related opportunities will be created as the festival will partner with migrant-related organizations of the host country.
